Update from Kim Franza, Raptor Rehabber:
Hello! I wanted to update you on the progress of the female golden eagle that we had in rehab in the fall of 2015. As you may remember she was sent to a master falconer for training to hunt through Dr. Joseph of the California Foundation for Birds of Prey. Randall and Lisa Harding visited the foundation and report that the eagle was there with her falconer, Tony. She is doing well! Magnificent animal! Tony said she will be released back into the wild about this time next year in the area of Tejon Pass near Lebec, Ca. Training her to hunt will give her the best chance of survival in the wild. It was a privilege to work with her and all of you during her rehab. Thank you all!
